Minor boy killed in Satkhira road accident

Satkhira, July 02 (UNB) – A minor boy was killed and three other people were injured in a road accident at Bhairabnagar village on Satkhira-Khulna road in Patkelghata upazila on Monday.

The dead is: Raqibul Islam, 2, son of Anisur Rahman Gazi of the village. The injured are: Sabekun Nahar and Sabina Khatun, mother and sister of the deceased respectively and Polash, a resident of the area.

Police said a Satkhira-bound truck from Patkhelghata ran over the four people as its driver lost control over the steering when they were standing at one side of the road, leaving Raqibul dead on the spot.

Akhtaruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Patkelghata Police Station confirmed the incident. The injured people were admitted to Sadar Hospital.
