Dhaka, July 3 (UNB) - A construction worker suffered bullet wounds as gunmen fired gunshots on him in the city’s Pallabi area on Tuesday.

Quoting witnesses, police said two miscreants went to an under-construction building of Ammazan Developer at Block-E of Mirpur-12 around 3:30 pm looking for its manager.

When Abdul Malek, a construction worker of the building, came up saying he had no knowledge about the manager, the gangsters fired gunshots on him, leaving him injured.

Malek was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with wounds in his left leg.

Contacted, officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station Abdul Latif said police already detained a suspect for interrogation in this connection.
