College student killed in Jessore road crash

Benapole (Jessore), July 4 (UNB) - A college student was killed as a truck crashed into his motorcycle at Chanchra Check-post in Sadar upazila on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Azminur Rahman Mim, 18, a second year student of Upashahar Degree College and son of Nur Islam of Bhaturia village in the upazila.

Police said the speeding truck hit the motorcycle of Mim in the area on Benapole-Jessore road while he was returning home from the district town at about 7:30 pm, leaving him seriously injured.

Locals rescued and rushed him to Jessore Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

A case was filed in this connection.
