Housewife’s body recovered in Comilla

Comilla, July 4 (UNB) – Police recovered the body of an expatriate’s wife from a pond at Shalghar village in Brahmanpara upazila on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nazma Akhter, 25, mother of two children and wife of Shukur Mia, a Dubai expatriate of the village.

Police said locals found the body of Nazma, mother of two children, floating in the pond in the morning and informed them.

Later, they recovered the body that bore some injury marks and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Yahia, sub-inspector of Brahmanpara thana suspected that unidentified miscreants beat and strangulated Nazma to death late at night and dumped the body in the pond.

A case was filed.
