Mohammedans earn 4th consecutive win beating Wari 5-0

Dhaka, July 4 (UNB) - Dhaka Mohammedan SC notched the 4th consecutive win in the Green Delta Metropolis Premier Division Hockey League outplaying Wari Club by 5-0 goals at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium here today (Wednesday).

With the day’s feat, the traditional black and white Mohammedan SC, maintained their all win record to dominate the league table after beating Bangladesh SC 5-1, Club Cup champions Usha KC 2-1 and Police AC 8-0,

National colored and penalty corner specialist Mamunur Rahman Chayan struck twice for Mohammedans in the 47th and 64th minutes, both from his favorite penalty corners.

Golam Mustafa Manik opened the account in the 10th minute by a field goal while national forward Russell Mahmud Jimi and Sheikh Mohammad Nannu added two more goals in the 49th and 68th minutes for Mohammedan SC, which dominated the first half by a solitary goal.

In the day’s 2nd match, Sadharan Bima KS beat Ajax SC by a lone goal scored by Moniruzzaman Roki in the 65th minute.

Thursday’s matches: Sonali Bank vs Bangladesh SC (2:30 pm), Abahani Limited vs Police AC (4;15 pm) .
