Man’s decomposed body recovered in Satkhira

Satkhira, July 06 (UNB) - Police recovered the decomposed body of a man from a ditch at Kuchpukur area in Sadar upazila on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Ziarul Islam, 40, son of late Nur Ali of Baliadanga village of Sadar upazila.

Sadar thana OC Aslam Khan said Ziarul went missing on July 3. Local people found the body in the ditch and informed the police around 11am.

Later, police recovered the body at noon and sent it to hospital for autopsy.

Police suspected that opponents might have killed him over drug-related dispute.
