NATO: 6 service members killed in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan, July 8 (AP/UNB) - NATO says an explosion has killed six service members in eastern Afghanistan.

The NATO statement said the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday.

The statement provided no further details about the attack and did not identify the dead service members.

The statement said NATO's policy is to allow "national authorities" to give details about the soldiers.
