Sexagenarian dies from snakebite in Goalandaghat

Goalandaghat (Rajbari), July 10 (UNB) - A sexagenarian man has died from snakebite at Barbakla village in Goalandaghat upazila of Rajbari district.

The deceased was identified as Moksed Sheikh, 60, of the village.

Local sources said a venomous snake bit Moksed while he was asleep at his house at about 11 pm on Sunday.

Soon a shaman (Ojha) was called in to treat the elderly man. But he died at about 1 am on Monday.
