2 killed in Barguna road accident

Barguna, July 10 (UNB) – A police constable was among two people killed in a motorcycle accident at Gadkhali-Ulshitala on Barisal-Kuakata road in Amtoli upazila on Tuesday morning.

The dead are: Moshiur Rahman, 45, a constable of Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) and Johnny, 25, a close relative of the constable.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Amtali Police Station Babul Akter said the duo was going to Amtali from Barisal by a motorcycle.

Suddenly the bike skidded and fell in a ditch after dashing against a tree as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving both killed on the spot.

Being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Barguna General Hospital for autopsy.

A case was filed.
