Dhaka, July 10 (UNB) - Police recovered the decomposed body of a housewife from a house at City Colony near the Martyred Intellectuals’ graveyard under Darusalam thana early Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Rekha Begum, 35, wife of Abdul Matin.

Police said Rekha and Matin lived in the house of Abdus Sattar, a driver, as tenant.

As Abdus Sattar smelt bad odour coming out from the room of Matin he informed police at about 2 am today.

Police recovered the decomposed body of Rekha from under their bed and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspected that Matin might have hacked Rekha to death three or four days back and went into hiding after keeping the room under lock and key.
