Housewife hacked to death in N’ganj

Narayanganj, July 11 (UNB) – A housewife was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Mijmiji Batanpara village in Siddhirganj upazila on Wednesday early morning.

The victim was identified as Sultana Begum, 22, wife of Ayub Ali and daughter of Nazim Uddin of the same village.

Quoting family members, Siddhirganj thana OC Kamrul Islam Molla said unidentified miscreants hacked Sultana Begum with sharp weapons leaving her critically wounded at about 5:30 when she came out of her father’s house.

Hearing her screams neighbours rescued and rushed her to Shimrail Sajeda Clinic where she succumbed to her injuries after admission.

The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained immediately.

A case was filed.
