Dhaka, July 13 (UNB) - Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production Company Ltd (Bapex) has discovered new gas reserve in No-2 well of Srikail gas field in Comilla.

Contacted, Petrobangla Chairman Hossain Mansur confirmed UNB about it and said test drilling started on Friday morning to be sure whether the reserve is extractable or not. "It'll take at least two days to get the results", he said.

Meanwhile, the Petrobangla chairman and Bapex managing director Mortuza Ahmed Faruk visited the drilling work at Srikail.
