President condoles death of architect Mazharul Islam

Dhaka, July 15 (UNB) - President Zillur Rahman expressed his deep shock at the death of Mazharul Islam, the pioneer of modern architecture in Bangladesh.

In a condolence message, the President said the demise of Mazharul Islam is an irreparable loss to the country.

He also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Mazharul Islam died of old age complications at the age of 89 early Sunday.
