
Dhaka, July 16 (UNB)– Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will provide $380 million loan to Bangladesh for two power projects.
Two separate loan agreements were signed between the government and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) at IDB headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, said a handout.
Under the agreement, the IDB will provide $ 200 million for ‘Ashuganj Power Station Efficiency Improvement Project’ and $180 million for ‘Construction of Bhola 225 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project’.
Iqbal Mahmood, Senior Secretary, Economic Relations Division of Bangladesh and IDB president Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali signed the deals on behalf of their respective sides.
