News - 3 ‘robbers’ killed in Narsingdi lynch-mob attack
Narsingdi, July 17 (UNB) – Three suspected robbers were killed in a lynch-mob attack at Baduarchar village in Sadar upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Jalil, 35, son of Jabbar Mia of village Karimganj; Anwar, 20, son of Safar Ali of village Baluakandi in Raipura upazila; and Nur Mohammad, 30, son of Selim Mia of village Maijdi in Shibpur upazila of the district.

Police and locals said a gang of 20-25 armed bandits stormed into the house of Nasir Khan at the village at about 2:30 am and started looting valuables.

Hearing noise from the house of Nasir, the neighbours rushed out of their houses and sensed the presence of robbers.

Later, they raised alarm through the mikes of the local mosque, saying robbers raided the village.

Soon, the villagers rushed in and chased the hoodlums.

They caught three of them under Baduarchar Railway Bridge and gave them a good beating, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.
