Laxmipur, July 17 (UNB) – A retired customs officer was killed in a road accident at Bhabaniganj Chourasta (intersection) on Laxmipur-Ramgati road in Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

The dead is: AKM Mohiuddin Kashem, 62, a retired officer of Customs and son of late Abdus Sattar of Alipur village of the upazila.

Police and witnesses said a Laxmipur-boud pick-up van knocked down Mohiuddin leaving when he was crossing the road leaving him dead on the spot in the morning.
