2 killed in separate road accidents

Dhaka, July 17 (UNB) – Two people were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in Chittagong and Chuadanga districts on Tuesday.

In Chittagong, Mridul Das, 25, and his cousin Pintu Das, 32, were injured when a truck hit a rickshaw carrying them at Firingi Bazar in the city’s Kotwali thana in the morning.

The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where Mridul died after admission.

Police later arrested the truck driver Nurul Amin along with his vehicle.

In Chuadanga, pedestrian Samir Hossain, son of Abul Hossain, was injured when a bus hit him at Khudiakhali village in Alamdanga upazila at about 10:30am.

The injured died on way to Sadar Hospital.

In another incident, Sub-inspector (SI) Khalidur Rahman, and another unidentified man were injured as two motorbikes collided on Chuadanga-Jhenidah road near local BGB office in the morning.
