NU VC among 13 sued for graft
Gazipur, July 17 (UNB) - A case was filed against 13 officials, including Vice Chancellor Dr. Kazi Shahidullah, of National University (NU), on charges of misappropriating money through misuse of power.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Tofail Ahmed Chowdhury, Treasurer Kazi Faruque Ahmed and ex-acting Treasurer Molla Mahfuz Al Hossain were among the accused.
HMA Shahjahan, assistant college inspector of NU, on Tuesday filed the case with the District and Sessions Judge Court.
In the case statement, the plaintiff alleged that the accused misappropriated about Tk two crore from the university’s fund from February 2009 till this year.
Earlier, two separate cases were filed with Joydevpur thana against 13 people, including the NU VC, for their involvement in corruption.
