2 killed in Ctg road crash

Chittagong, July 18 (UNB) – Two people, including a microbus driver, were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident in the city’s Patenga thana early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Shah Alam,50, resident of Khilmogol in Rangunia, and microbus driver Rubel, 20.

Police said Shah Alam along with his family members was going to Shah Amanat Airport by a microbus to receive his son Kamal Uddin, who returned from Abu Dhabi.

The microbus collided head on with a truck on Airport Road, leaving 12 people injured at about 5am.

The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where Shah Alam died at about 6am.

Another injured Rubel succumbed to his injuries at noon today, said hospital sources.
