News - Stocks down at closing
Dhaka, July 19 (UNB) – Share prices at both the bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange –- ended lower on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

DGEN, the benchmark index of DSE, lost 16.79 points or 0.40 percent to close at 4166.53 points. Of the issues traded, 100 advanced, 146 declined and only 19 remained unchanged.

The top 10 gainers of the day are – Bangladesh Submarine Cable, Grameenphone, Meghna Petroleum, Beximco, Square Pharma, Jamuna Oil, LankaBangla Finance, Titas Gas, GPH Ishpat and M I Cement.

Shares worth Tk 281 crore were traded on the day.

The CSE key index, CSCX, lost 31.43 points to stand at 7995.63 points at the closing. Of the issues traded, 79 advanced, 104 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
