Dhaka, July 19 (UNB) – Commerce Minister GM Qauder called for expanding country’s book market abroad by publishing Bangladesh’s books in different languages.
It is imperative to publish books, which are acceptable to the readers. The government will extend its all possible assistance in this regard, he said while addressing a discussion here on Thursday.
Bangladesh Gyan and Srijanshil Prokashak Samity arranged the discussion titled ‘Possibility of Expanding Bangladesh’s Book Market Abroad’ at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Acting secretary of Planning Ministry Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam, Nur Hossain Talukder, Director General of Public Library, among others, addressed the discussion with Mohiuddin Ahmed, president of the Samity, in the chair.
