Woman strangulated to death in Pirojpur

Pirojpur, July 20 (UNB)-A sexagenarian woman was strangulated to death by some unknown miscreants at Karigar para in sadar upazila early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Halima Begum,65.

Sadar thana Officer-in-charge Abdul Malek said some miscreants entered her house at dead of night and strangled her to death when she was asleep.

Police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to hospital morgue.

Police said she might have been killed following previous enmity over money or land.
