
Dhaka, July 20 (UNB) – Bangladesh Open University (BOU) is taking an initiative to donate Tk 10 crore from its own fund to implement the Padma Bridge project, its Vice Chancellor Prof RIM Aminur Rashid said on Friday.
“The teachers, officials and employees of the BOU have also decided to give their one-day’s salary for the implementation of the Padma Bridge project,” he told reporters at his office.
The VC said he will also donate his one-month’s salary to the Padma Bridge fund.
Briefing the media about different aspects of the BOU’s academic activities, he said the BOU will introduce honors and Phd programme.
Deans of different schools under the BOU were also present.
