Ajax earn 3-2 goals victory over Sonali Bank in Premier Hockey
Dhaka, July 21 (UNB) - Ajax SC earned a 3-2 goals victory over Sonali Bank in the Green Delta Metropolis Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium here today (Saturday).
The winners were trailing by 1-2 goals in the first half.
Imtiaz Ahmed Rubel and Faisal Hossain scored one field goal each in the 34th and 38th minutes while Hasan Akhtar Rasul netted the first goal for the winners in the 16th minute from a penalty corner.
Rana Jubair Riaz and Mohammad Rubel netted one goal each for the losers in the 13th and 33rd minutes, both from penalty corners.
In the day’s other match, Sadharan Bima KS picked up a 1-0 goal win against Azad SC at the same venue.
Rasel Hossain Rony scored the match-winning goal for Sadharan Bima KS in the 68th minute.
Sunday’s match: Mohammedan SC Limited vs Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club (4:00 pm).
