President to pay tributes to Humayun Ahmed

Dhaka, July 22 (UNB) – President Zillur Rahman will pay homage on Monday to celebrated fiction writer, playwright and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed who died in New York on Thursday.

President’s Military Secretary Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, on behalf of the President, will place wreaths at Humayun’s body at 11 am after his body is kept at the Central Shaheed Minar, a senior official of Bangabhaban told UNB on Sunday.

The body of the writer will arrive in Dhaka on Monday morning.
