Dhaka, July 27 (UNB) - Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Haque Inu on Friday urged Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia to sever ties with militants and communal forces to save the country and democracy from their destructive acts.

“Militancy and communalism are the main threats to the country. Break links with fundamentalists to save the country and democracy,” he said.

He was addressing a meeting at Shaheed Col Taher Auditorium ahead of their 40th founding anniversary of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal.

Mentioning that the country is yet to get rid of the grasp of communalism and militancy, Inu said the JSD will eliminate these social menaces together with people.

He also urged the government to work as a cleanser to revive the spirit of the Liberation War and fix the lapses in the civil administration.
