Climate Change: Kholiquzzaman for common voice

Dhaka, July 28 (UNB) - Noted economist and PKSF chairman Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad on Saturday called for a common voice from the climate change vulnerable countries to achieve the desirable results for an equitable and sustainable future for all citizens of the world.

He came up with the call at a roundtable titled ‘Rio+20: Immediate Task for Bangladesh Focusing on Climate Change’ at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).

Environment and Forests Secretary Mesbah-Ul Alam and Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Unnayan Parishad Dr Rezaul Karim also spoke on the occasion.

Mesbah-ul-Alam said all should work together to ensure the safety of the young generation and the optimum use of limited resources.

Representatives from different NGOs, civil society and journalists were also present.
