Gazipur, July 29 (UNB) – Two people, including an auto-rickshaw driver, were killed when a bus hit the three-wheeler on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Chandara in the district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Ramzan Ali, 22, auto-rickshaw driver of Goshaibari village, and his passenger Shahidur Rahman Bari, 52, of Nalua village of Kaliakoir upazila.
Local sources said a bus hit the three-wheeler from behind, leaving Ramzan dead on the spot and injuring Bari.
The injured was sent to Kaliakoir Hospital where he died after admission.
Highway police recovered the body of Ramzan and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
