Police: 30 pilgrims killed in truck crash in India

NEW DELHI, July 30 (AP/UNB) - Police say 30 Hindu pilgrims were killed in a collision between a speeding truck and another vehicle in northern India.
     
Police superintendent Karpa Ram says 35 other people were injured when the two trucks collided head-on in Bhiwani district of Haryana state.
     
The crash occurred early Monday when the pilgrims were returning home from visiting a Hindu temple in nearby Rajasthan state.
     
Among the dead were 10 women and three children.
     
Bhiwani is about 120 kilometers (75 miles) west of New Delhi.
