Indefinite bus strike in Faridpur

Faridpur, July 31 (UNB) - Local Bus Owners’ Group enforced an indefinite bus strike here on Tuesday, which snapped bus services between here and the capital.

Local sources said bus movement on Dhaka-Faridpur route came to a halt from 11 am following the strike, which was called demanding the release of a leader of the transport group.   
 
Police arrested Sujit Kumar Saha Mithu, joint secretary of Bus Owners’ Group, on Monday night following a case filed against him by Golam Maula, an official of Minibus Owners’ Group.

Bus Owners’ Group from an emergency meeting this (Tuesday) morning announced the strike.

The strike caused immense sufferings to the travelers.
