Chittagong, Aug 1 (UNB) – A case has been filed against Meher Afroz Shaon, wife of Humayun Ahmed, and Mazharul Islam, owner of Anya Prokash, on charge of killing the celebrated writer.

The court took cognisance of the case and ordered Criminal Investigation Department CID) to submit a report in this connection after proper investigation.

In his case statement, Nazrul alleged that Humayun Ahmed was killed in a pre-planned way. “Shaon and Mazharul murdered him in collusion with each other to grab his property,” the plaintiff told the court.
