Robbers looted valuables from expat’s house in Keraniganj

Keraniganj, Aug 1 (UNB) – Robbers looted valuables worth about Tk 2.50 lakh from a house of an expatriate at Bagoir Pura Hati village in Keraniganj upazila early Wednesday.

Locals said a gang of robbers numbering 7/8 swooped on the house of Liton, an expatriate at about 3 am and kept the house inmates hostage at gun point.

Later the robbers looted valuables including Tk 50,000 in cash, 2.5 tolas of gold ornaments and six mobile phone sets from the house.

Five inmates including Liton were injured as they tried to raise hue and cry.

They were admitted to local clinic.
