News - Stocks fall continues
Dhaka, Aug 2 (UNB) – Share prices at both the bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange –- extended losses on the fourth consecutive day on Thursday.

DGEN, the benchmark index of DSE, lost 19.72 points or 0.47 percent to close at 4098.69 points. Of the issues traded, 142 advanced, 96 declined and 22 remained unchanged.

The top 10 gainers of the day are Bangladesh Submarine Cable, Grameen Phone, RN Spinning, Beximco, Keya Cosmetics, Jamuna Oil, NBL, Square Pharma, ICB 2nd NRB Mutual Fund and SIBL.

Shares worth Tk 210.06 crore were traded on the day at the DSE.

The CSE key index, CSCX, also lost 85.57 points to stand at 7890.59 points at the closing. Of the issues traded, 77 advanced, 92 declined and 23 remained unchanged.

The top 10 gainers at CSE are Grameenphone, Beximco, RN Spinning, Bangladesh Submarine Cable, NBL, Saiham Cotton, United Air, Lanka-Bangla Finance, UCBL and Square Pharma.
