Dhaka, Aug 2 (UNB) - The biennial election of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will be held on October 21, officials said here on Thursday.
The decision came from a meeting of the FBCCI election board held at the FBCCI office with board chairman Prof M Ali Ashraf MP in the chair.
Election board members Shahedul Islam Helal and Abu Bakar Siddique Dilip were also present.
According to the election schedule, final voters list will be published on September 10 while the draft voters list to be published on August 30.
The election on the directorships of the apex trade body will be held on October 21 and the elected directors will elect President, first vice- president and vice-president of the FBCCI for the next two years.
The prospective candidates for the directorships will have to submit their candidatures by September 15.
October 25 has been fixed to publish the final results of the FBCCI election.
