Dhaka, Aug 6 (UNB) - Two people were killed and nine others injured in separate road accidents in Bogra and Chapainawabganj districts on Sunday.

In Bogra, a man was killed and nine others were injured in a head-on- collision between a bus and a three-wheeler Bhotvoti on Bogra-Naogaon road at Kazipara in Kahaloo upazila around 1:00 pm.

The decreased was identified as Bhotvoti driver Akram Hossain, 35, son of Moksed Ali of Shilkaor village in the upazila.

Witnesses said the three-wheeler fell into the ditch when it collided with the Naogaon-bound speedy bus coming from opposite direction at around 1:00pm, leaving ten people including Bhotvoti driver injured.

The injured were rushed to Dupchanchia health complex where Akram died after sometime.

In Chapainawabganj, one person was killed in a road accident at Kathalpara in Shibganj upazila on Sunday evening.

The victim was identified as Bagha, 45, resident of Chok Alampur village in Sadar upazila.

Witnesses said a speeding truck from Sona Masjid land port ran over and killed Bahgha on the spot while he was crossing road around 5pm.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
