Rajbari, Aug 06 (UNB) – A schoolboy was beaten to death over a dispute centering a graveyard at Dayalnagar village in sadar upazila on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Shipon, 10, a student of Brac Primary School and son of Barek Sheikh of the village.

Police arrested Shipon’s aunt Saheda and grandmother Peyara Begum in this connection.

Family sources said Rabbi, cousin of Shipon, called him on Sunday evening after a meeting between the two families broke down without reaching any decision on a piece of graveyard land.

Shipon’s family members found his body that bore marks of injury in the head at about 11 pm beside a neighbor’s house.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Rajbari hospital for autopsy.

Akbar Ali, uncle of Shipon, lodged a case accusing Peyara Begum, Rabbi, Saheda and Hasina Begum with Rahbari thana.
