BCL calls to accelerate war crimes trial

Dhaka, Aug 06 (UNB) – Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the ruling Awami League-backed student wing, on Monday demanded accelerating the war crimes trial and complete it within the tenure of the present government.

They made the demand at a human chain in front of Aparajeya Bangla on the campus this (Monday) afternoon.

Later, a team of BCL leaders led by president of Bangladesh Chhatra League Bodruzzaman Shohag submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Shahara Khatun.

BCL general secretary Sadeq Nazmul Alam, Mehedi Hasan Mollah and Omar Sharif, president and general secretary respectively of BCL DU unit, among others, were present at the human chain.

Hundreds of BCL activists joined the human chain.
