Elderly man stabbed to death in Sirajganj

Sirajganj, Aug 7 (UNB) – A sexagenarian man was stabbed to death at Alokdia village in Kamarkhanda upazila on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Tozammel Haque, 60, son of late Azizul Haque of the village.

Police said miscreants stabbed Tozammel indiscrinately while he was returning from local mosque after saying his Tarabi prayers at about 9 pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body on Tuesday morning and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police said the elderly man might have been killed following a land dispute.
