Dhaka, Aug 8 (UNB) - A rickshaw-puller was killed when a speedy passenger minibus hit his rickshaw from behind in the city’s Ganderia on Wednesday morning.

The victim was identified as Alamgir, 60, son of Joinal. He hailed from Noapara of Rupganj in Narayanganj.

Witnesses said the incident took place in front of Habiba Jame Mosque in Ganderia at about 7:00 am when a Mohammadpur-bound minibus from Ganderia rammed into his rickshaw from behind.

The bus fled the scene leaving Alamgir critically injured.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at about 9:30 am.

The body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

An unnatural death case was filed with Ganderia police station.
