KSCA X1 takes 337-run lead over B’desh A Team on Day 3

Dhaka, Aug 8 (UNB) - Hosts Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) X1 took a huge 337-run lead against Bangladesh A Team on the 3rd day of the four-day Shafi Darashah Invitational Cricket Tournament held at Alur in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Hosts KSCA X1, which scored 284 runs in the first innings, declared the 2nd innings, also at 284 runs for 7 in 66.4 overs, with Samrat making 86 runs off 132 balls hitting eight fours and one six and Ganesh Sathish scoring 68 runs off 121 balls, featuring five boundaries.

Naeem Islam bagged five wickets for 38 runs in the 2nd innings while spinner Enamul Haque Jr and Mominul Haque took one wicket each.

In reply, Bangladesh A team resumed the first innings in the morning with overnight 188 for 7 in 62 overs and were finally all out for 214 runs in 68.5 overs with Mohammad Mithun scoring 46 runs off 64 balls hitting three fours and two sixes in addition to Mominul Haque’s 52 runs.

K Gowtham claimed six wickets for 74 runs.

Chasing a huge target of 355 runs, the 2nd string Bangladesh team opened the 2nd innings in later afternoon and scored 17 for no loss in 8 overs at the end of the 3rd day, (Wednesday) with Imrul Kayes was batting with 16 runs and Shamsur Rahman batting zero.
