1 ton poly bags recovered at Manikganj shop; Tk 50,000 fined

Manikganj, Aug 08 (UNB) - The Department of Environment (DoF) in a drive recovered 1 ton illegal polythene bag from a shop at Ghiorhaat in Ghior upazila on Wednesday.

Led by executive magistrate Md Saiful Islam the mobile court also fined Bikash Saha, the owner of `Bhabani Store` Tk 50,000 instantly realising the money from him at noon.

Sheikh Md Nazmul Huda, Deputy Ddirector of DoE, Manikganj, the district administration and police assisted the magistrate.
