10 injured in Magura clash

Magura, Aug 10 (UNB) - At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups of villagers over land dispute at Kalinagar village in Sadar upazila on Friday afternoon.

Police and locals said there had been a long standing conflict between the two siblings, Badsha Molla and Samad Molla, over sharing of land. In a sequel to their dispute, they locked into an altercation in the afternoon.

At one stage, both the groups equipped with lethal weapons attacked each other, leaving 10 people injured from the both sides.

They also vandalized and looted five houses.

On information police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Additional police have been deployed in the area to avert further trouble.
