Army man killed in Tangail road crash
Tangail, Aug 10 (UNB) - An army member was killed and another injured when a goods-laden trolley hit their motorbike at Rabna Bypass in the district town on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Shamim Chowdhury, 35, son of Shahjada Chowdhury of Kurua village of Kalihati upazila.
Tangail model thana SI Shafiqul Islam said the accident took place in the area at about 3:30pm when the speedy trolley dashed their motorbike, leaving them critically injured. Local people rescued and rushed them to Tangail General Hospital where Shamim died after admission.
Injured Zakir Hossain, 34, Lance Corporal, was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
A case was filed.
