Van puller killed in Thakurgaon

Thakurgaon, Aug 10 (UNB) - A rickshaw-van puller allegedly stabbed another van puller to death at Mesni village in Baliadangi upazila on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Abdul, 30, a resident of the same village.

Shah Alam, victim’s son, alleged that Khaleque stabbed his father indiscriminately while he was asleep at his house in the morning leaving him critically injured.

The injured was admitted to Baliadangi upazila hospital and then shifted to Thakurgaon sadar hospital where he succumbed to his injuries in the afternoon.

Baliadangi thana OC Shamim Hassan Sardar said the alleged killer Khaleque was a mentally ill man. Police arrested him.

A case was filed with thana in this connection.
