Stocks gain in early trading

Dhaka, Aug 12 (UNB) – Share prices at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) –- witnessed gains in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

The DSE benchmark index, DGEN gained 102.37 points or 2.47 percent to reach 4244.61 points at 12:00 pm today. Of the issues traded till then, 207 gained, 7 declined and 6 remained unchanged.

The CSE key index, CSCX also gained 181.02 points to stand at 8158.97 points also at 12:00 pm today. Of the issues traded till then, 125 gained, 5 declined and 8 remained unchanged.
