Dhaka, Aug 12 (UNB) - United Airways (BD) Limited, the country’s largest private airline, will operate flights on Dhaka-Singapore route from the last week of October, said an official on Sunday.
The airline will operate two weekly flights from Dhaka to Singapore and vice versa by MD-83 aircraft which is safer, reliable and speedy with having comfortable seats, Assistant General Manager (Marketing, Support and PR) M Kamrul Islam said.
United Airways (BD) Limited is now operating more international flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Dubai, Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Kathmandu and Kolkata and also from Chittagong to Muscat and Kolkata.
The airline is operating flights to all major domestic routes from Dhaka. It operated 29,500 flights and carried 9.50 lakh passengers in the last five years.
Now United Airways (BD) Limited has a total of nine aircraft that include two DASH 8-100, two ATR-72, three MD-83 and two Airbus-310.
It has also a plan to operate flights from Dhaka to Doha, Dammam, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Karachi and Yangon by the end of this year.
On 10 July 2007, United Airways first took to the skies with a slogan “Fly Your Own Airline” and has been providing committed services ever since.
Since its inception, United received positive market response and presently holds a major share of the domestic, regional and international market.
In a span of just five years of operation, United Airways has established its brand reputation for its maintenance of schedule, service and safety.
