LONDON, Aug 12 (AP/UNB) - Firefighters say they're tackling a blaze at a recycling center in east London that is the biggest the city's seen in several years.

The London Fire Brigade said that the whole of the single story building is on fire and that a plume of smoke can be seen across the capital.

The recycling center is in Dagenham, about 7 miles (11 kilometers) east of the Olympic Park, where the closing ceremony is being held later Sunday.
