Housewife injured in Jessore bomb explosion

Benapole (Jessore), Aug 13 (UNB) – A young housewife was injured as a bomb exploded at Dhulgram village in Abhaynagar upazila of Jessore district on Sunday evening.

The injured was identified as Sandhya Rani, 20, wife of Chaitanya Roy of the village.

The victim said an abandoned container suddenly went off when she pelted some chickens with it to drive them away at the backyard of their house around 6:30 pm, leaving her injured.

A chicken was also killed in the bomb explosion.

When contacted, assistant sub-inspector Humayun Ahmed of Abhaynagar Police Station said they heard about the bomb explosion.
