Two snatchers arrested in Khulna

Khulna, Aug 13 (UNB) - Police arrested two snatchers while fleeing after looting belongings of a pedestrian from in front of a cinema hall in Khalishpur area of the city early Sunday.

The arrested were identified as Jewel Sheikh, 20, son of Din Islam and Toufiq Islam, 20, son of Shiekh Shafiqul Islam hailed from of city’s Taiyeba colony area.

Officer-in-charge of Khalishpur police station Sukumar Biswas quoting local people said the two muggers swooped on pedestrian Harun in front of the cinema hall Chitrali at about 12:15 am and looted his cash, mobile phone set and other belongings.

Later, police on information rushed to the area and after a hot chase arrested the culprits along with the looted belongings.
 
A case was filed in this connection.
