5 muggers arrested in Savar

News - 5 muggers arrested in Savar
Savar, Aug 15 (UNB) – Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members arrested five alleged snatchers along with arms and explosives at Nabinagar bus stand on Dhaka-Aricha highway on Tuesday morning.

The identities of the arrested muggers could not be known immediately.
 
Capt Zahidul Islam, camp commander of Rab-4 Nabinagar camp here said acting on a tip-off a team of Rab raided the bus stand at about 10am and arrested the muggers along with a Pakistan made pistol and four hand bombs.

The arrested were taken to the Mirpur Paikpara camp of Rab for further interrogation.

Another report says that police arrested a listed terrorist from Hemayetpur bus stand here early in the morning.

The arrested was identified as Mosharraf Hossain alias Mosha, 33. Police said he was wanted in a number of cases.

Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Savar Model thana said on secret information, a team of police launched the drive in the area and arrested Mosha.
